Bottom Locking Privacy Slat

The Bottom Locking Slat provides an economical and attractive way to enhance any chain link fence. Bottom Locking Slats are flat tubular in shape, with reinforced "legs" inside for extra durability. This slat has a locking bottom channel providing a "snap in" locking effect for security. The Bottom Locking fence slat is one of the oldest slats on the market.

Specifications: the Bottom Lock privacy slat is manufactured 3-1/2" shorter than the overall height of the fence to accommodate the locking device at the bottom of the fence (e.g. 6 ft is 68.5" long).

Bottom Lock slat for 2 inch diamond: the wind load and privacy factor for a 2 inch diamond is approximately 75%. The body of the slat is approximately 1-3/32" wide. This fence slat is made for a 2" diamond and 9 or 11 gauge wire. Each bag contains 82 pieces. For a 2 inch diamond, each bag will cover approximately 10 linear feet of fence (depends on how tight your fence is stretched – the average chain link fence with a 2 inch diamond has 41 diamonds for every 10 linear feet of fence).

Bottom Lock slat for 2-1/4 inch diamond: the wind load and privacy factor for a 2-1/4 inch diamond is approximately 80%. The body of the slat is approximately 1-1/4" wide. This fence slat is made for a 2-1/4" (2-3/8") diamond and 11 or 11-1/2 gauge wire. Each bag contains 78 pieces. For a 2-1/4 inch diamond, each bag will cover approximately 10 linear feet of fence (depends on how tight your fence is stretched - the average chain link fence with a 2-1/4 inch diamond has 38 to 39 diamonds for every 10 linear feet of fence).

Bottom Locking slats for a 2-1/4 inch diamond chain link fence is only available in 4', 5' and 6' heights.

Made in the USA: Be aware of some non-USA made fence slats that may fade and discolor. Our slats made of virgin High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) are made in the USA and have UV inhibitors (UV resistant color concentrates) to add color protection and guard against cracking, chalking, and fading in the sunlight.

Durability: Our slats are also resistant to severe weather conditions, salt water, sand, road dirt, most acids, alcohol, alkaline, ammonia, petroleum distillates, and common environmental pollutants.
